If you want to send out the impression that your business cares, then treat customers like friends. A lot of businesses create commercials where they say they treat their customers like friends but in reality, they treat them as is – customers.

Treat Your Customers Like Friends

At Utah Rooter, we strive to continually earn new friendships and grow existing customer relationships. In recognition of International Friendship Day, here are some ways that we aim to show our appreciation to our customers, our friends.

1. Take care of your needs promptly and courteously. Small courtesies are important to us. We’ll say “hello” when we arrive, and we’ll thank you for your time and business when we leave.

2. Only promise what we can deliver. One of the things that turn off customers is when a business bails out of a pledge that they said they would do. You are only as good as your last word so it is important that we only make commitments that we can honor. If we believe that there is something out of our area of expertise, we’ll confidently refer you to a professional in another capacity so that you are well taken care of.

3. Ask you about their opinion. Have you ever had a repair man come in and create a mess in the wrong area of your home? Whether we are replacing a toilet or a garbage disposal, we’ll explain the advantages and disadvantages of different brands, models, and prices so that you can make the decision that is best suited for yourself.

Treating your customers like a friend may be good for business, but it’s also just the right thing to do in general. This is the kind of close-knit community that Utah fosters, and we at Utah Rooter thank you for your friendship.
